New Trustee appointment

INSO is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Mario Stephan to our Board of Trustees.

A seasoned humanitarian, Mario brings a wealth of experience in humanitarian operations built through a wide variety of contexts and crises, security driven environments and complex emergencies.

Mario has developed his expertise with more than 11 years overseas working for diverse organisations such as Action Against Hunger (ACF), Save the Children, Doctors Without Borders (MSF) and the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC). Mario has worked in DRC, Kenya, Afghanistan, Somalia, and Egypt, while also holding regional positions in Africa, the Middle East and most recently in the Gulf region.

Commenting on his appointment, Mario noted:

"INSO is providing innovative new answers to long standing NGO safety coordination questions, and is contributing to the evolution of humanitarian practice to impact beneficiaries and aid workers in a very positive way. I am delighted to join its board and to be part of this unique endeavour”

More recently, Mario is the founder and CEO of a consultancy firm providing expertise on the Arab World, based out of Dubai (UAE). He holds a Masters degree (M.A.) in Management and Business administration from the KEDGE business school (Bordeaux/FRANCE) and is fluent in English, French and Arabic.
